Man charged with indecent solicitation

A 35-year-old man was arrested by Wheaton police after he traveled to town to meet an underage girl, authorities said Friday.

Benjamin Rhee, 35, of 3129 Walden Lane, Wilmette, was charged Wednesday with indecent solicitation of a child, attempted aggravated criminal sexual abuse and child pornography, officials said.

Wheaton police caught Rhee through an undercover Internet sting, where a detective pretended to be a girl.

Rhee attempted to meet with the girl for the purpose of engaging in a sexual act, police said.

Rhee appeared in bond court Friday, where Judge Peter Ostling ordered him to be held on a $250,000 bond at DuPage County jail.
