Wheaton businesses need local support

Thank you, Sharon Huck, for your recent letter (Fence Post, Jan. 31) regarding the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce annual State of the City address being held in Carol Stream. As a Wheaton business owner, I applaud your willingness to speak out about this issue. In order for businesses such as mine to survive, we need the support of everyone to keep the money local. The chamber should certainly try to support our efforts in any way they can. A heartfelt thank you to all the customers who continue to shop in downtown Wheaton, especially during the past holiday season. We couldn't thrive without you. Remember, Wheaton City Council and chamber board members, stop by the Wheaton shops and introduce yourselves. We'd love to see you.
