Run-DMC's McDaniels appearing at Harper

Darryl McDaniels, formerly of the pioneer hip-hop trio Run-DMC, is coming to Harper College to celebrate Black History Month. "From Old School to New School: The Evolution of Rap and Hip-Hop" will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at the Palatine campus' M Building, 1200 W. Algonquin Road. Tickets to the lecture are $13. The multiplatinum Run-DMC, behind hit singles "Walk This Way" and "It's Like That," will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April.
