Does charity really begin at home?

Apparently the Chicago Christian Industrial League believes the charity begins at home. If they can pay Patty Blagojevich $100,000 per year, I have to wonder what they are paid. If they just used the money given to Patty to help the homeless, how many others could they have helped? Did she raise enough to even cover her salary? Is it any wonder that donations are done when we see how the contributions are really being used.
