Barrett for Dundee Township Assessor

On Tuesday, Feb. 24, the primary election will be held along with the nominations of our Dundee Township offices.

For the office of Assessor, I will be strongly supporting Lee Barrett. Lee has been active in our community for over 30 years serving both on the county board and in many roles on the Dundee Township Republican Central Committee. As a certified assessor he has helped many residents in their efforts to both understand and appeal their property taxes.

Adding to that experience, Lee has undertaken the necessary education needed to become a Certified Illinois Assessing Officer. He has pledged that he will bring uniformity and fairness, which has long been missing in our property assessments. There are also several exemptions available based on different criteria that Lee feels many homeowners are not aware of and will do what is necessary to make that information available.

This is a full-time position that requires commitment and dedication to ensure every effort is made to keep our property assessments accurate and fair, which is so important in these troubling economic times.
