Global warming advocates quiet
"Dismissing global warming based on our recent patch of arctic weather is like a cancer patient denying his cancer because he feels just great one day ... That has nothing to do with the earth's overall climate change or health." So says David Hunt in his recent letter in the FencePost.
A week or so later, Tim Springer tosses in his two-cents worth. He basically echoes Dave's statement with, "Weather events are not climatic evidence. People often confuse weather with climate. A week of subzero temperatures doesn't disprove climate change, any more than a summer heat wave proves it."
I hope these admissions can be taken as a sign from that side of the fence that we will be hearing less and less from them regarding the alleged onset of anthropogenic global warming every time a hurricane or tornado shows up on weather radar. There are, after all, two sides to that coin.
