Naperville teen charged in theft

Naperville police arrested a 14-year-old Thursday for stealing an iPod and video recorder after a fight, authorities said Friday.

Police were called to the 800 block of Benedetti Drive where a fight apparently had just ended, Cmdr. Dave Hoffman said.

A teen who was slightly injured in the scuffle told police another youth had stolen his electronic equipment.

The 14-year-old was charged with mob action, resisting a peace officer, theft under $300 and two counts of simple battery.
