Oak Brook recycling increase:
Since the village of Oak Brook switched to a single-stream recycling system last June, the village has seen a 4 percent increase in the volume of recyclable material collected compared to 2007. Single-stream recycling does not require residents to separate paper and non-paper recyclable items for pickup. For details, call the village at (630) 368-5000 or visit oak-brook.org.
