Accusations didn't belong in hearing
I did not vote for Gov. Blagojevich either time, but I have a deep concern over the impeachment proceedings. It is only fair to consider grounds of malfeasance in office that are known to be true and have been documented and promulgated. Consider these wrongdoings: buying the flu vaccine and wasting all that money; pushing through health insurance; mandating free transportation service to seniors (of which I am one). When the governor passed any legislation on his own without the appropriate approvals he violated his position.
The Federal charges have not been proven and should not have been considered. When he must address these, he will have the right to due process which includes his defense using witnesses and cross examination. By including accusations, it simply provide ammunition to sue for his rights. Yes, he does have them. Innocent until proven guilty. The end does not justify the means.
