Sagent expands product line

SCHAUMBURG - Sagent Pharmaceuticals Inc., a privately-held specialty pharmaceutical company, announced it has launched Cefazolin for injection, an antibiotic used to treat serious infections, in a 500mg single-dose vial. This expands Sagent's existing line of Cefazolin products beyond the 1g single-dose vials and 10g pharmacy bulk package vials launched in March 2008. All doses are latex-free and include packaging features such as bar-coding and labeling designed to reduce confusion among doses.
