Township grateful for generous spirit

My sincerest appreciation is extended to the individuals, families, organizations and corporate sponsors who again came forward this past Thanksgiving and Christmas to help the less fortunate in Wheeling Township.

Many residents are experiencing difficult times and through the extraordinary generosity of our community, more than 2,000 people received food and gifts during the holiday season.

We are also extremely grateful to the countless number of volunteers who assisted with the qualification process and helped sort, wrap and distribute the donations.

I join the Township Board, staff and the families who benefited from your generosity, in wishing you a healthy, happy and prosperous 2009.
