Dist. 129 to host Fine Arts Festival
West Aurora School District 129 invites the community to a Fine Arts Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at West Aurora High School, 1201 W. New York St., Aurora.
There will be more than 30 performances of bands, choirs, dancers and drama troupes, as well as hundreds of art exhibits from students at all grade levels throughout the district.
"The Fine Arts Festival is a way for our students and staff to thank the entire District 129 community for its continuing support of the fine arts," said Meg Papadolias, West High's Fine Arts Department chair.
At last year's festival, several thousand community members celebrated the creative talent of the art, drama and music students in kindergarten to 12th grade.
