Wauconda United has big plans
I found the article On "First Day of Candidate Filing" misleading. The article leads us to believe that Mark Knigge and the Wauconda United Party are not running because they did not file papers Monday with the other candidates. Since the candidates have until Jan. 26 to file, this article should either have been written after everyone had a chance to file, or Mr. Knigge should have been called for a comment. To my knowledge, Mr. Knigge and the Wauconda United Slate have every intention of filing before the Jan. 26 deadline. They have several community events such as a wine tasting and a Chili Cook-off planned in February for the public to come out and meet them and learn about their platform. They will be attending the Wauconda Expo on Feb. 28, as well as the Lindy's Fishing Derby. They are an exciting group with lots of forward-looking ideas such as responsible long-term planning, environmental responsibility and accountability. Their platform can be found on their Web site: WaucondaUnited.com
You can also join their Facebook page for information on upcoming events!
