Woman: Peterson engagement a stunt

A woman who recently moved out of the home of a former suburban Chicago police sergeant suspected in his wife's disappearance says they were never really engaged to be married as reported in the media.

Christina Raines told CBS's "The Early Show" on Monday that the engagement was a stunt cooked up by Drew Peterson's attorney as a way to keep his client's name in the news.

Peterson's lead attorney -- Joel Brodsky -- adamantly denies Raines' allegation and says he even took efforts to keep the engagement quiet.

Raines acknowledged that she did once think she loved Peterson, although she no longer does. She says he was kind to her, her children and his children.

Peterson's wife, Stacy, disappeared in October 2007. Peterson denies any involvement in her disappearance.
