Suicide group to meet

Free health screening

A free screening for blood pressure, weight and body mass index is available from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursdays and Fridays at the Salvation Army, 1710 S. Seventh St., St. Charles. Sensory processing workshop

Carol Kranowitz will be the featured speaker at the Dynamic Child II workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Saturday at Kaneland High School, Meredith and Keslinger roads in Maple Park. Kranowitz will discuss how sensory processing disorder affects children's learning and behavior. She is the author of "The Out-of-Sync Child" and "The Out-of-Sync Child Has Fun." Girls lacrosse registration

The St. Charles Girls Co-Op High School lacrosse team will hold general registration for all players from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12 in the lower level meeting room at the St. Charles Public Library, 1 S. Sixth Ave. The club fields junior varsity and varsity teams and is comprised of players from St. Charles East and North high schools. Players of all experience levels are welcome. The United Way of Central Kane County has money available for local 501(c)(3) charitable agencies. For an application, call (630) 377-1930 or e-mail stcuw@yahoo.com. Applications are due Feb. 20. Organizations that serve residents of St. Charles, Elburn, Geneva, LaFox, Kaneville, Campton Hills and Wasco are eligible.
