Sponsorships available for St. Charles Sisters Weekend

The Downtown St. Charles Partnership has announced that sponsorships for Sisters Weekend 2009, a retail event attended by hundreds of women every spring, are available. Sisters Weekend will be held April 24-26 in downtown St. Charles.

"We've brought a lot of marketing exposure to businesses that have sponsored Sisters Weekend in the past," said Nicole Guvenoz, co-chair of Sisters Weekend 2009 and co-owner of Eliza Jane Boutique and Spa. "And this year we've worked hard to bring new benefits to our different levels of sponsorship, including a large number of radio spots on a highly rated Chicago radio station."

Sisters Weekend brings together "sisters of all sorts" from all over the country, who gather in St. Charles for a weekend that includes a wine-tasting reception, pajama party with entertainment and spa treatments, continental breakfast Saturday morning, yoga and dance sessions, personal enrichment sessions Saturday and Sunday, a concert Saturday night, giveaways and prizes.

Shopping and dining in the different quadrants of downtown St. Charles are another major part of Sisters Weekend. In 2006, Sisters Weekend won Lt. Governor Pat Quinn's Award of Excellence as Best Retail Event in the state. The event, now in its sixth year, is organized by a committee of volunteers.

"We've already had one company come on board to become a sponsor of Sisters Weekend," said Guvenoz. "It's important that any company considering sponsorship do so quickly, so they can be a part of the marketing throughout the winter and into the spring."
