District 21 registration begins soon

School District 21 kindergarten and new first grade registration for next fall will begin Monday, Feb. 2. Residents can register at their local school from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays. Please see the dates and times below. Residents can find out which school attendance area they reside in by calling the school or the business office, at (847) 520-2712. Each elementary school also will offer one evening registration, at the following times and dates:

• 4-7:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 2, Riley Elementary School, 1209 Burr Oak Drive, Arlington Heights, (847) 670-3400.

• 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 4, Poe Elementary School, 2800 North Highland Ave., Arlington Heights, (847) 670-3200.

• 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 5, Tarkington Elementary School, 310 Scott St., Wheeling, (847) 520-2775.

• 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 5, Kilmer Elementary School, 655 Golfview Terrace, Buffalo Grove, (847) 520-2760.

• 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10, Field Elementary School, 51 St. Armand Lane, Wheeling, (847) 520-2780.

• 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10, Twain Elementary School, 515 Merle Lane, Wheeling, (847) 520-2785.

• 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10, Whitman Elementary School, 133 South Wille Ave., Wheeling, (847) 520-2795.

Currently enrolled preschool students, including all Hawthorne and ECDEC students, will receive the 2009-10 kindergarten registration materials directly from their current preschool teacher. Registration materials for these students should be returned to the preschool teacher, not the local school.
