Armed robbery suspect sought in Crystal Lake
Crystal Lake police continue the hunt for a suspect who robbed a Walgreens store Wednesday night.
that took place just before 7 p.m. Wednesday evening.
Deputy Chief Dennis Harris said A man in his mid to late 50s, approached a female cashier at the Walgreens at 151 Northwest Highway about 7 p.m. Wednesday, indicated he had a gun and demanded she give him money, Deputy Police Chief Dennis Harris said.
The cashier gave the robber money from a cash register, and the robber fled the store, Harris said. There is no indication which direction the man left, or whether a vehicle was involved in the getaway, Harris said.
The robber is described to be between 5'5" to 5'8" tall, between 140 pounds and 180 pounds, and possibly could have a dark mustache.
He was last seen wearing a black knit cap, a dark gray jacket, a black shirt and blue jeans.
