Mount Prospect police chief honored by state group

Mount Prospect's Police Chief John Dahlberg was recently honored by the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police by being designated as a certified police chief through the Association's Police Chief Certification Program.

Dahlberg was named the village's chief of police in 2007.

He has a bachelor's and master's degree from Lewis University in Romeoville. He also graduated from Northwestern University Center for Public Safety School of Police Staff and Command and Executive Management programs.
