As sports fans start polishing their TV remote controls to prepare for the Super Bowl, Sunday, Feb. 1, they can take a peek at how Hollywood has featured the sport of football - in both comedic and dramatic films - through the decades. Take a look at everything from zany films starring the Marx Brothers to the heartwarming 1993 film "Rudy," starring Sean Astin.

Remember how to disco dance?

The Willowbrook Ballroom hosts a '70s and '80s Flashback Dance for singles and couples. Complimentary hustle dance lessons are featured.

Dancers are invited to attend in vintage 1970s and 1980s attire - neon and leisure suits are welcome.

Weaving and learning

Youngsters can make woven miniature rugs in a Kids Craft Morning at the Mitchell Museum of the American Indian. Museum staff and volunteers will lead an informal, 90-minute session where youngsters can create simple versions of the traditional American Indian rug using everyday craft materials.

Along with the craft, kids can take part in other activities to learn about American Indian culture.

The program is recommended for ages 5 and older, but there is no minimum age requirement. Participants must be accompanied by an adult.

Dancing with violins

The Paramount Theatre hosts a special half-hour educational edition of its "Barrage" music-and-dance spectacular for youngsters. Kids can watch a shortened version of "Barrage," described as "Stomp" with violins. Following the show, the audience can take part in a question-and-answer session with the cast.
