Thank you, President Bush

A response to the letter by Roger Dauchy printed January 4.

I agree with Mr. Dauchy that President Bush deserves a lot of credit for all that has happened in America in the past eight years.

Thank you, President Bush for protecting the American people for the last seven years. Thank you for protecting the American interests in the oil industry in the Middle East. Your unethical wiretapping and torture at Guantanamo Bay really paid off.

Thank you, President Bush for being such a laid-back president. Your nearly 900 vacation days in Texas have given you the record of president with the most vacation time. Obviously, all of the rest and relaxation helped you make great decisions as president.

Thank you, President Bush for this long and pointless war. The War on Terror, I mean the War in Iraq, no I mean the War for Freedom? Well, whatever you are calling it now, it has killed thousands of innocent civilians and American soldiers.

Finally, thank you, President Bush for our wonderful economy. You deserve the credit for the current state of the economy because you helped it to become what it is today. How can we thank you enough?!
