Mantra should be 'follow the money'

In Illinois, pay-to-play may be politics as usual, but so is former governors serving prison terms for engaging in it. Governor Blagojevich appears to be stepping up to that plate even before the end of his current term. Illinois citizens are disgusted and want lawmakers to pass serious and comprehensive campaign finance reform measures. As in so many of our recent economic crises, the mantra should be, "Follow the money."
