Northwest roundup: Hersey tops Meadows

Hersey improved to 14-6 and 3-2 in MSL East as sophomore Megan Rogowski scored a game-high 19 points, including 4 3-pointers, in a 54-35 victory over Rolling Meadows.

Senior Kelly Rogowski added 12 points for the Huskies while Maddie Swan chipped in 8 with a team-high 10 rebounds.

Julia Fredian and Kelly Rogowski each handed out 4 assists for the Huskies.

Meadows (6-13, 0-5) was led by Maddy Urban (9 points) and Sara Shumaker (8).

Maine West 47, Maine East 33: Warriors junior Emily Pichardo's hook shot, as she fell to the floor, were the final 2 points in the Central Suburban North contest.

Junior Megan O'Neill (6 rebounds) led West (12-8, 5-1) with 14 points while junior Sam Acosta and senior Shaina Yalda each added 8 points before a large crowd for "Pack The Place" in Des Plaines.

Juniors Alli Ellwood and Ellen Coogan each had 3 assists for the winners while Ellwood also collected 4 steals.
