Saxons' Payne sits out with back injury

Schaumburg boys basketball standout Cully Payne, a leading candidate for Illinois' Mr. Basketball Award, sat out Thursday night's Mid-Suburban West showdown with Hoffman Estates with a back injury. Payne was on the Saxons' bench in street clothes.

Payne, who has committed to play at Alabama, is schedule to have a bone scan on his back on Friday.
