We need to know who our enemies are

This is in response to Walt Zlotow's Jan. 6 letter. I am neither of Jewish nor Arabic heritage, so until Sept 11, 2001, I really had no opinion on the Middle East crisis. A defining moment in my life came that day, as I watched the news broadcast around the world about the attack of New York. On one hand, I saw Israel's reaction to the news where people were crying in the streets about our sadness and grief. On the other hand, I personally saw people in Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, etc. all celebrating the attack and passing out candy (until that day I never knew that that was an Arabic symbol of celebration). As a result, all Americans must never forget who is for us, and who hates us. Israel is our friend (and they're are in need of our support), and organizations like Hamas literally hates us, and wants us dead.
