Authorities hunt for Roselle bank robber

Roselle police and the FBI are hunting for a man who robbed a local bank after displaying a handgun.

Police said the man entered the Roselle Bank and Trust branch at 1350 W. Lake St. at 11:35 a.m. Saturday and showed a teller his black handgun before demanding money from two tellers. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen on foot heading east from the bank.

Roselle police said bank employees described the suspect as a white man with a heavy build standing 6 feet tall, wearing a blue jacket and black pants. He was also wearing mirrored sunglasses and a scarf around his face, authorities said.
