Hey Budd: Antioch wins
Katie Budd scored 18 points and grabbed 6 rebounds, and Brittany Deem added 10 points and 10 boards, as Antioch's girls basketball team defeated host Vernon Hills 48-42 Wednesday night.
Antioch evened its record at 7-7 and 2-2 in the North Suburban Prairie Division. The Sequoits shot a season-best 47 percent from the field. Budd buried a pair of 3-pointers.
Katrina Holm chipped in 5 points, 3 assists and 3 rebounds.
Vernon Hills (9-9, 2-3) was led by Alana Coy's 14 points, including two 3-pointers.
