Expect a showdown on gun control laws

Thomas Mannard from Illinois Council against Handgun Violence wrote that the gun lobby's scare tactic didn't work.

First, it is not a gun lobby. It is millions of American citizens united to protect the Second Amendment from organizations like yours and Mr. Obama who want to destroy it. I am not a lobby, I am a citizen and I'm the NRA.

The NRA did have a lot of influence, but there were a lot of people voting who were not aware of the threat the Second Amendment now faces.

Obama is not going to be the worst anti-gun president - he already is based on his voting record.

You see his "sensible" gun legislation is really senseless gun legislation and does everything to remove a person's right to own and use a gun. Thank God the Republicans in the house and the pro Second Amendment Democrats will help us to defeat this nonsense legislation.
