Park district offering stocking stuffers
The Bartlett Park District is offering a family holiday swimming pack, which includes a five-pack of admissions into Splash Central for $15. These admissions may be used during 2009 open swimming hours. For the golfer, the park district is also offering a 2009 holiday golf special - two rounds of golf at Apple Orchard Golf Course and a three-pack of golf balls for $18. Both offers are valid until Dec. 21, or while supplies last. Stocking stuffer offers may be purchased at the registration office in the Bartlett Community Center, 700 S. Bartlett Road. Township mental health board meets
The Hanover Township Mental Health Board will meet at 7 p. m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, in the activity room of the Hanover Township Senior Center building, 240 S. Route 59 in Bartlett. Gala New Year's Eve party
St. Marcelline's Productions and A-1 Entertainment will sponsor a gala New Year's Eve party from 6:30 p.m.-1 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Diemer Hall at St. Marcelline's Church, 820 Springinsguth Road, in Schaumburg. Singles and couples are invited.
The evening will include a catered buffet dinner with two entree choices, a special champagne toast and appetizers at midnight, a DJ and live entertainment.

Welcome reception for NWCC artists
An Artists' reception welcoming the New Northwest Cultural Council Corporate Gallery artists for 2009 will be held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Arlington Green Executive Centre, 2101 S. Arlington Heights Road, in Arlington Heights. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. The exhibition can be viewed from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday from Thursday, Jan. 8 through Monday, April 6. Call (847) 991-7966.
