Schaumburg man charged in drug case

Bond of $10,000 was set for Thomas Cherim, 23, Saturday in Cook County Circuit Court after his arrest in Schaumburg on charges of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and cannabis.

Schaumburg police with a warrant searched a home in the 2000 block of Farnham Court and found 6.1 grams of white powder they said tested to be cocaine and five bags totaling 23 grams identified as cannabis, court officials said.

Police also reported finding money identified as being advanced for official police business.
