Libertyville's boys basketball team found itself down by 10 points on its own court at halftime Saturday night.

The second half was a different story, though.

The Wildcats rallied for a 42-38 win over Stevenson, snapping a four-game losing streak.

Paul Aynilian scored 6 of his 12 points in the second half, as Libertyville improved to 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the North Suburban Lake Division. Myles Burton also had 12 points for the Wildcats, who held the Patriots to just 3 points in the fourth quarter.

Stevenson (3-3, 0-2) was led in scoring by Nate Johnson with 11 points. Jeff Leavitt had 10.

North Chicago 70, Vernon Hills 50: Joshua Wright had 19 points and Keith Ford added 16 for the host Warhawks (5-1), who used a big second half to improve to 3-0 in the North Suburban Prairie Division.

Vernon Hills (4-3, 1-1), which led 16-15 after one quarter and trailed only 31-30 at halftime, received 18 points from Riaz Hoveydai and 13 from DaVaris Daniels.

North Chicago outscored Vernon Hills 23-10 in the third quarter and 16-10 in the fourth.

Carmel 45, Nazareth 40: The visiting Corsairs rallied in the fourth quarter, outscoring the home team 17-9 to win the East Suburban Catholic Conference game.

Jonathan Huisel led Carmel (4-6, 2-1) with 13 points, while Patrick Cox and Connor Garvey added 11 each. Connor Sexson had 9.
