Air Angels resumes service after fatal crash
Bolingbrook-based Air Angels resumed its helicopter medical transport services Friday.
Helicopter services offered by the company had been suspended since an Oct. 15 crash on Eola Road in Aurora killed three crew members and a 14-month-old girl being transported to a Chicago hospital. Federal investigators believe the pilot of the downed helicopter clipped support wires for a radio antenna, which caused the crash. The antenna's warning lights were working at the time of the crash, investigators have determined.
The company's ground transport services resumed about two weeks after the crash.
