"No, I'm not. I sometimes feel bad about this when I talk to other people, but I'm not cutting back. I restrict buying during the year. I've taken the opportunity to do the toys for Christmas."

"We may be spending a little bit less - I'd say less than a 10 percent cut over last year... The lower gas prices have really helped out though. I have a bigger SUV-type vehicle and I can use that savings toward Christmas."

"Unfortunately, we're not cutting back. Maybe it's because of the age of my kids... We're buying fewer gifts, but they're more expensive - a Wii and iTouch. We're cutting back in other areas. We're not doing as much with extended family and my husband and I are not exchanging anything this year.

"We're not cutting back. We're spending about the same as last year on the kids... I'm cutting a little bit on gifts for other people this year."
