Delilah's to host massive winter beer tasting

The 10th annual Christmas and winter beer tasting at Delilah's is the largest of its kind in North America. Choose among more than 100 beers from around the globe, many in multiple vintages. Breweries represented include Goose Island, Three Floyds, King & Barnes, Samuel Smith and Fantôme.

Hop on the "Holiday Express" for round-trip seasonal festivities. Begin with appetizers and drinks at Nellie's before taking a Metra train to Duke's Alehouse and Kitchen in Crystal Lake, with holiday tunes and treats along the way. Enjoy more appetizers and beers there, then return to Palatine. Reservations are required.

Flavors of Italy

Chef Andrew Jenrich pairs four courses (including seafood, rabbit and lamb) with wines from Feudi di San Gregorio in the Campania region of southern Italy. The winery's grapes come from vineyards near Mount Vesuvius, where volcanic ash has enriched the soil with minerals that impart distinctive aromas and flavors in crops.
