Cary hosts talk on fighting gangs

The Village of Cary will host a Community Gang Awareness and Education at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic School, 416 N. First St., Cary to update residents on the safety measures the village has taken to combat gang-related property damage and activity during the past month. In early November, reports of gang-related property damage occurred in the area bordered by Three Oaks Road, Park Avenue, Silver Lake Road and First Street.

The meeting also will feature a presentation by the Cary Police Department on what steps residents can take to improve the safety of their neighborhoods.
