Wheaton Christian greets grandparents
While students sang and performed, the grandparents at Wheaton Christian Grammar School were the celebrities.
The day was all about them.
Classrooms at the Wheaton school opened their doors recently for nearly 500 grandparents, a hefty number considering the student enrollment of 493.
Visitors were greeted with an hourlong assembly that included performances by many of the school's kindergarten through eighth-grade students. Then the visitors broke off to head for their grandkids' classes.
Each room had performances and crafts that students could do with their relatives for the holidays.
