Bears sign DE to practice squad

The Chicago Bears have signed DE Joe Clermond to the practice squad.

Clermond entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Bears this season and recorded 8 tackles and 1 sack in four preseason contests. The University of Pittsburgh product was credited with 142 tackles, 17.5 sacks, 36.5 tackles for losses and 4 fumble recoveries in five seasons (2003-07) as a Panther. He was defensive captain and an all-Big East second-team selection as a senior.
