Carmel tips Vernon Hills

Carmel Catholic's boys basketball team trailed at halftime but rallied back for a victory Tuesday night.

The Corsairs edged host Vernon Hills 50-45 in nonconference action, after being down 28-21 at halftime.

Carmel (2-4) was led in scoring by Ryan Kloss and Patrick Cox with 12 points apiece.

Connor Sexson and Jonathan Huisel added 9 and 8, respectively.

Vernon Hills got 13 points from Riaz Hoveydai and 12 from DaVaris Daniels.
