Have brunch with Santa in Schaumburg

Entourage offers its traditional "Entourage Sunday Brunch" with a special guest - Santa Claus himself. As St. Nick strolls through the restaurant, mixing and mingling, guests can dine on fare including Chocolate Chai French Toast, eggs benedict, smoked salmon and omelets. Meat lovers can fill their plates at carving stations with roasted turkey and prime rib. Finish off the meal at the Sweets Table.

Welcome to the 1920s

Long Grove's historic Village Tavern hosts its "Volstead Act Repeal Party" to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the 1933 repeal of the Volstead Act - which ended Prohibition. For the event, bartenders and staff will dress in attire from the 1920s. A roving master magician will entertain the crowd, while songs from the Roaring Twenties era are played on the main stage. Guests arriving in 1920s costumes will receive a prize.

Get geared up to grill

Weber Grill Restaurant offers a three-hour class on cooking with rubs and brines, along with tips on barbecuing and smoking foods. Students can dig into items that the chefs prepare at the end of class. And everyone will receive recipes to take home. Reservations are required.
