Comedy cellar

Freddie's basement becomes "The Comedy Cellar" this weekend with performances by impressionist Bob Jay on Friday, Nov. 28, and Chicago comedy legend Tim Walkoe on Saturday, Nov. 29. Admission is $10 on Friday and $15 on Saturday. Doors open at 7 p.m. You must be 21 years or older to attend.

Girls night out

Manis, massages and bubbly are on tap at DOC Wine Bar next Wednesday, Dec. 3. The girls-night-out event will feature Graham Beck champagne, with Sparkling Rose flutes priced at $8. Sheque Chicago will provide complimentary manicurists and massage therapists for the ultimate pre-holiday relaxation. Spa services are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Holiday cheer

Vintner's Cellar Winery in Libertyville will celebrate the release of its Cranberry Claus Shiraz on Saturday, Dec. 6, and Sunday, Dec. 7. The winery has also assembled "grab-n-go" gift baskets of wine and fruit wine with color wrap appropriate for all seasonal holiday celebrations. Customized wine baskets with personalized messages, photos or logos on bottle labels can be designed and picked up or shipped with advance order.
