We need Iacocca to fix auto industry
I guess it's OK to bail out the auto companies, just like we did with the banks and institutions; however, we must not consider this a bail-out.
A contract must be worded such that it's only a loan.
This must be a short-term loan, with interest, that absolutely must be paid back.
Lee Iacocca once borrowed government money to rescue Chrysler, and noted that it would cost more to pay unemployment to Chrysler's workers otherwise.
Lee Iacocca is a man of character, a leader, and one of the best, if not the best corporate CEO.
He presented an honest case of why the loan was necessary and even paid back the government loan prematurely. He gave Ford the Mustang and gave Chrysler the minivan.
Are there any more CEOs like this anymore.
