Exelon ramps up Dresden reactor
Exelon Corp. ramped up the Dresden 3 reactor in Illinois to 98 percent of capacity from 5 percent Nov. 21, according to a report from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
The 871-megawatt unit was idled Nov. 3, Bob Osgood, an Exelon spokesman, said earlier this month. Another unit at the site, Dresden 2, is operating at 97 percent of capacity, according to the commission.
The Dresden plant is located about 60 miles southwest of Chicago.
