Fox River Grove woman faces drug, prostitution charges

A 40-year-old Fox River Grove woman was arrested Wednesday on prostitution and drug charges after an investigation into claims she was using the Internet to advertise her services at a local motel, police said.

Allison C. Dunderdale, of the 1000 block of Northwest Highway, appeared in McHenry County court Thursday on charges of felony prostitution, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of cannabis.

If found guilty, she could be sentenced to up to three years in prison.

Her arrest culminated a weeklong joint investigation by Fox River Grove and McHenry County sheriff's police. The investigation started, Fox River Grove Police Chief Ron Lukasik said, when the department received an anonymous letter reporting incidents of prostitution and drug dealing at the River Inn Motel.

On Wednesday, police said, an undercover officer met with Dunderdale at the motel and she agreed to perform two sex acts for $200.

She was arrested immediately, police said, and officers subsequently recovered small amounts of cocaine and marijuana, along with two glass pipes used for inhaling drugs, from her possession.

Dunderdale previously was convicted of prostitution in September 2007 and June this year in Cook County, court records state.

She was transported after her arrest to the McHenry County jail, where she remained late Thursday unable to post 10 percent of a $40,000 bond.

It is the first prostitution-related case in Fox River Grove since police arrested a Schaumburg man in 1994 on charges he was operating a brothel out of a massage parlor near the village's downtown.
