Another view of who is really Christian
Dear Mr. Graham, I have to take issue with you in a number of points you raised in your recent letter to the Opinion Page of the Daily Herald, claiming, "Whatever Obama is, he's not a Christian."
First of all, Mr. Graham, it is not up to you to define who is and who is not a Christian; your self-righteous and judgmental opinions themselves are hardly Christian.
To imitate the life of Christ and try to shine some light into the world's many dark corners, it is not necessary to believe in any of your long list of "basic elements of Christian faith."
To me, Christianity is about regarding all men and women as brothers and sisters, forgiving those who do us wrong, and acting in a way that recognizes the rights and needs of those around us, not just our own.
Your lists of beliefs and accusations against Mr. Obama are sadly irrelevant.
