Three charged in Naperville home invasion
Three men have been arrested in connection with an apparent home invasion earlier this month in Naperville, police said Tuesday.
Police said the arrests stem from a Nov. 10 incident in the 700 block of Inland Circle when two men knocked on an apartment door, displayed handguns and then restrained and robbed a man, woman and child.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Police said their investigation revealed the suspects were acquaintances of neighbors of the victims.
All three men were charged with one felony count each of home invasion and armed robbery. They are: Ryan A. Springs, 20, of 2241 Brentwood, Montgomery; David J. Barber, 20, of 1442 N. Luna St., Chicago; and William W. Ellis, 27, of 1431 N. Austin Blvd., Chicago.
Police said Springs and Barber were arrested Nov. 13 without incident. Springs was apprehended at his Montgomery residence and Barber was nabbed in Chicago.
Ellis was arrested Nov. 17 at his residence in Chicago.
Police said the case remains under investigation and it's possible others may have been involved.
