'09 Cougars tickets now on sale

Groups tickets for the Kane County Cougars' 2009 season went on sale by telephone Tuesday and single-game tickets will go on sale at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Elfstrom Stadium. The stadium is off Kirk Road just south of Route 38 in Geneva.

Group tickets of 20 or more can be reserved with a deposit by calling (630) 232-8811.

Fans can arrive as early as 7 a.m. Saturday when numbers will be distributed for purchase of single-game tickets. A complimentary breakfast buffet will be served beginning at 8 a.m., including scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, sausage, fruit, doughnuts and juice and coffee.

Fans can also learn more about the $10.5 million Elfstrom Stadium renovation that will be completed by opening day. The Cougars are a Midwest League Class A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics.
