Arlington Heights
• Burglars broke into a 2002 Ford Focus and stole an MP3 charger/holder between 5-7:45 a.m. Nov. 6 in an apartment lot on the 2700 block of North Buffalo Grove Road. They also took a satellite radio out of a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta. Total loss was estimated at $90.
• A 2009 Dodge Caravan parked at a hotel on the 1400 block of West Dundee Road was broken into overnight Nov. 4-5; a $250 GPS unit was stolen.
• A 2001 Volkswagen Passat on the 700 block of South Belmont was broken into overnight Nov. 8-9; credit cards were stolen. Damage was estimated at $200.
• A 26-inch men's green mountain bike and a 24-inch women's green 10-speed bicycle were stolen out of an open garage on the 1000 block of East Davis Street between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Nov. 8. Loss was estimated at $700.
Des Plaines
• Burglars broke into a 1996 Ford E250 van on the 100 block of Dover Drive between 11 p.m. Nov. 8 and noon Nov. 9; a GPS unit and radar detector were taken. Total loss was estimated at $800.
• A thief has used a Speedy Rewards card at the Marathon gas station, 885 E. Touhy Ave., between July 1 and Nov. 6, and stolen over 150 gallons of gas valued at $614.
• A 1994 Chevrolet 2500, 1996 Chevrolet Astro van, and a 1998 Chevrolet 2500, all belonging to Maine Township High School District 207 were vandalized around 9 p.m. Nov. 9 while at Maine West High School, 1755 S. Wolf Road. Damage was estimated at $300.
• Someone stole car keys out of an unlocked men's locker at the YMCA, 300 E. Northwest Hwy., around 8:45 p.m. Nov. 4; he used the keys to unlock the victim's 2004 Honda Civic, and steal a $300 cell phone.
• A vandal threw a pumpkin at a 1998 Nissan Quest on the 200 block of North Eighth Avenue between 8:30 p.m. Nov. 7 and 6:40 p.m. Nov. 8; it damaged the hatchback and a taillight. Damage was estimated at $300.
• Someone broke into a 2000 Dodge Neon on the 600 block of Colonial Lane between 1-2 p.m. Nov. 8 and stole a GPS. Loss was estimated at $200.
Elk Grove Village
• Thieves stole a flat trailer and a snow plow blade from the 1500 block of Busse Road Nov. 4 or 5. Loss was estimated at $4,000.
• Someone broke into a 2006 Dodge Charger on the 600 block of Ruskin overnight Nov. 5-6 and stole a camera and MP3 player. Total loss was estimated at $810.
• An unlocked 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer on the 900 block of Ridge Square was burglarized between 6 p.m. Nov. 5 and 8 a.m. Nov. 6; the in-dash stereo system, subwoofer speaker and GPS unit were stolen. Loss was estimated at $1,270.
• A 2004 Toyota Sienna on the 0-100 block of Northwest Point Boulevard was broken into between 9-11:15 a.m. Nov. 6; a GPS unit was stolen. Total loss was estimated at $650.
• Douglas G. Mathys, 25, 705 Bordeaux Court, Elk Grove Village, was arrested around 11:40 p.m. Nov. 6 at Devon Avenue and Charlela Lane and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. A court date is Dec. 8.
• Sinem L. Ergul, 17, 720 Wellington Ave., Elk Grove Village, was arrested Nov. 4 and charged with retail theft from a store at 980 Elk Grove Town Center. His court date is Dec. 18.
• Christopher P. Hunt, 25, 1004 Carpenter Court, Elk Grove Village, was arrested around 10 p.m. Nov. 1 at Grissom and South Glenn trails and charged with possession of marijuana. His court date is Dec. 3.
• A 2002 Freightliner C120 tractor truck worth about $50,000 was stolen from Time Definite Service, 2551 Allan Drive, between 8:30 p.m. Nov. 2 and 4 a.m. Nov. 3.
• An estimated $31,000 in aluminum bundles, aluminum wheels and electrical wire was stolen between 4 p.m. Oct. 31 and 8 a.m. Nov. 3 from the G&M Metal and Parts warehouse, 1970 Estes Ave. The thieves loaded them onto a 48-foot trailer and drove away.
• Burglars pried open the rear door at Elk Grove Village Sewer and Plumbing, 221 Crossen Ave., between 4 p.m. Oct. 31 and 8:49 a.m. Nov. 3 and stole a spool of copper wire. Total loss was estimated at $1,750.
• Vandals damaged 160 feet of chain link fence on the southern border of pump house number 8, 2750 S. Lively Blvd., between 5:30 p.m. Oct. 31 and 6 a.m. Nov. 3. Damage was estimated at $5,000.
Mount Prospect
• Burglars broke into a 2000 Mercury sedan in an apartment lot on the 1700 block of Forest Cove Drive between 4 p.m. Nov. 6 and 3:47 a.m. Nov. 7 and stole the in-dash CD player; total loss was estimated at $400. A 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt in the same lot was also broken into, but nothing appeared missing. Damage was estimated at $250.
• A 2005 Ford Taurus on the 100 block of South Waverly was vandalized between 8:30 p.m. Nov. 7 and 8:50 a.m. Nov. 8. Damage was estimated at $400.
• A fence on the 1400 block of Park Drive was vandalized with graffiti between noon Nov. 7 and noon Nov. 8. Damage was estimated at $500.
• A 2008 Saturn sedan on the 1400 block of South Brownstone Avenue was vandalized overnight Nov. 8-9; damage was estimated at $350.
• A 1994 Mercury Villager on the 400 block of South Elmhurst Road was vandalized around 2:20 a.m. Nov. 9; damage was estimated at $300.
• A 1996 Toyota Avalon on the 300 block of Hawthorne Circle was vandalized between 1-11 a.m. Nov. 7; damage was estimated at $500.
Rolling Meadows
• Clarence White, 25, 7435 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago, was arrested around 6:15 a.m. Nov. 1 after officers found him pounding on doors outside a business at 3075 Tollview Drive and took him to the police department so a brother could drive him home. White hit his brother and fought with officers and was charged with battery and resisting arrest. His court date is Dec. 5.
• Tushar Patel, 32, 1436 White Oak Lane, West Chicago, was arrested around 9:45 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Meadows Club, 2950 Golf Road, after he refused to leave the bar area. Police were called, and said he ran at an officer with his fists clenched. His court date is Dec. 16.
• Adalilia Herrera, 24, 1982 Hastings Drive, Hoffman Estates, was arrested around 4:35 p.m. Nov. 4 at her home and charged with battery and resisting arrest after an incident involving another woman on the 4700 block of Arbor Drive. Her court date is Nov. 21.
• A 1993 Ford Explorer on the 100 block of Viola Court was broken into between midnight and 9:40 a.m. Nov. 6; two DVD players, a power inverter, a GPS unit and a stereo were stolen.
• A man went on a vandalism spree in an apartment lot on the 3300 block of Kirchoff Road around 1 a.m. Nov. 8. He first pried the trunk of a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am, smashing both windshields, front driver's-side window and front and rear passenger's-side windows and stealing an in-dash stereo. A witness saw him then smash the front windshields on a 2005 Dodge Neon and 1999 Neon, and the rear windshields on a 2004 Chevrolet Aveo, 2006 Ford Fusion and 2003 Toyota Matrix. Damage and value estimates were not available.
• Burglars broke into a 1999 Honda Accord in an apartment lot on the 4700 block of Arbor Drive between 1-2 a.m. Nov. 8; $200 speakers were stolen.
• Timothy Bornhoeft, 20, 921 S. I-Oka Ave., Mount Prospect, was arrested around 9 p.m. Nov. 8 at Meijer, 1301 Meijer Drive, and charged with retail theft and battery. He ran away but was stopped by officers behind an office building at 1701 Golf Road. His court date is Dec. 16.
