200 attend Centegra event
More than 200 attended Centegra Health System's Annual Physician Appreciation Night Nov. 1.
"At Centegra, we take great pride in our hardworking and passionate physicians," said Michael S. Eesley, Centegra Health System President and CEO. "And it's important that the community be made aware of the outstanding health care our physicians provide to the McHenry County area each and every day."
During the event, physicians new to Centegra were recognized, as well as physician anniversaries and award recipients. New to this year's celebration were a Specialist Excellence Award, Primary Care Excellence Award and Hospital-Based Excellence Award, all chosen by Centegra colleagues.
Dr. Amir Heydari received the Specialist Excellence Award for his surgical quality and process improvement. Dr. Erin Davis received the Primary Care Excellence Award as an outstanding internal medical physician with Centegra Primary Care. Dr. George Gallant received the Hospital-Based Excellence Award for his acclaim as an emergency medicine physician.
The physicians routinely exemplify the values of Centegra Health System, demonstrate leadership to peers and staff, receive acclaim from patients and their family members, advance Centegra's reputation for excellence, support Centegra's programs and services and engage in clinical quality and process improvement.
The Physician Excellence in Teamwork Award was presented to Dr. Mark Schiffer. As a radiologist, Schiffer characteristically exemplifies excellence in physician collaboration with Centegra associates, demonstrates a willingness to identify and utilize teachable moments with others on his health care team, utilizes relationship-based care principles, is passionate about medicine and health care and exemplifies the values of Centegra Health System.
