Palatine

• Vandals smashed two windows on a 1992 Chevrolet Blazer parked on the 1400 block of North Winslowe Drive between 3:15-3:22 a.m. Nov. 8. A damage estimate was not available.

• Someone broke into a 2000 Audi parked at a hotel on the 900 block of East Northwest Highway between 4:30-10:15 p.m. Nov. 8; a GPS and charger valued at $420 were taken.

• Burglars broke into a 2004 Acura on the 800 block of West Panorama between 6 p.m. Nov. 8 and 7 a.m. Nov. 9 and stole a $300 GPS unit.

• A vandal broke a door window on the fifth floor staircase in the public garage at 251 W. Colfax St. around 12:20 a.m. Nov. 9.

Schaumburg

• An employee of Lowes, 101 N. Barrington Road, was arrested Nov. 5 and accused of undercharging customers for a snow blower, Christmas tree, tool cart and child safety gate. The court date for William A. Wille, 19, 7602 W. Andrea Lane, Crystal Lake, is Dec. 17.

• Gabrielle Patricia Vicencio, 17, 1475 Rebecca Drive, Apt. 214, Hoffman Estates, was arrested Nov. 6 and charged with retail theft from JCPenney in Woodfield Mall. Her court date is Dec. 4.

• Pratimaben T. Patel, 41, 2392 John Smith Drive, Apt. F, Schaumburg, was arrested Nov. 5 and charged with retail theft from at Kohl's, 171 N. Barrington Road. His court date is Dec. 11.

• Jessenia Ruiz, 20, 308 N. Prospect Ave., Wood Dale, was arrested Nov. 5 and charged with retail theft from JCPenney in Woodfield Mall. Her court date is Nov. 20.

• Vandals smashed the rear liftgate window on a 2005 Cadillac Escalade in the Streets of Woodfield parking garage, 601 N. Martingale Road, between 7:15 and 10:17 p.m. Nov. 5; nothing appeared to be missing. Damage was estimated at $450.
