No more fine fears: Have you racked up a bundle in fines because of materials you borrowed from the Sugar Grove Public Library that are now seriously overdue?

Fines will be forgiven this month if you bring in nonperishable items to donate to the Kaneland Area Food Pantry.

One food item wipes out the fine for one item that is overdue. Overdue books and other materials must be returned to the desk and checked in by library staff. The food items for donation must be brought in at the same time.

Donations won't help with items that are lost, damaged or in collection.

The Kaneland Area Food Pantry needs canned goods, boxed items, personal care supplies, household paper products and cleaning supplies. Located at the Elburn and Countryside Community Center, 525 N. Main St. in Elburn, the food pantry is open from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursdays. Donations can also be dropped off at the library any time during regular hours.

For details, call the library at (630) 466-4686.
